Michael & Susan Dell Foundation
Technical Program Director, DDE
Austin, Texas
Technical Program Director at Micheal & Susan Dell Foundation responsible for sourcing and managing a portfolio of projects that achieve the Data Driven Education team's vision and further the Ed-Fi Alliance strategic priorities. The DDE team believes that empowered teachers improve outcomes for low income students by providing high quality instruction to meet students learning needs.

The vision requires that teachers, principals, and administrators easily access the information they need to make decisions to provide the best instruction possible to each student. The information educators need is often siloed, available too late, or hard to understand. Therefore our work focuses on tackling the behind the scenes problems that prevent data from making its way to teachers in an useful and actionable way. We invest in implementation of data interoperability polices and solutions, such as the Ed-Fi toolkit, that can remove barriers to bring educators in schools and classrooms the information they need to help each student learn. DDE team's main focus is in data interoperability and Ed-Fi implementation.

With over 20 years of public and private sector experience in database architectures, large-scale data aggregation, data transformation and analysis, and use case discovery. Experience utilizing these skills to successfully develop, design and implement software solutions.

As VP of Technology at Double Line Partners, provided expert guidance for the design, development and implementation of a new Education data standard (Ed-Fi) to extract, standardize, integrate and unify education data from different sources for the MSDF. Provided direction and coordination for the development team, responsible for designing and managing the test-driven approach for the organization’s ETL development.
